Motorcycle rider airlifted after Chesapeake crash

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Crews are on the scene of a motorcycle crash in Chesapeake.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said the crash involved a motorcycle and SUV, and happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Greenbrier Parkway and Kempsville Road.

O’Sullivan said the person who was riding the motorcycle was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

Officer Ravi Sheth with the Chesapeake Police Department said it happened on Kempsville Road at Butts Station Road. Police told WAVY News injuries were reported in the crash.
