Free dental screenings offered ahead of new school year

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Before the new school year starts, the Norfolk Department of Public Health is offering residents free dental screenings.

The free screenings are available for people between the ages of one and 20 years. They will be offered Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Little Creek Dental Clinic, located at 207 E. Little Creek Rd.

The Department of Public Health says the screenings are not full exams, but they are intended to assess dental health and detect and additional issues.
