CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Another fire sparked Friday at a Chesapeake home where an elderly man was rescued this week.

Captain Scott Saunders with the Chesapeake Fire Department said a next door business reported smoke coming form the home, located in the 700 block of Oak Grove Road.

Wednesday, a 94-year-old man was rescued from the home and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Saunders said on Friday, firefighters responded around 10:30 a.m. and saw a “light haze” in the area of the attic.

Saunders said it appears the cause of the fire will be ruled undetermined.
