HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — Severe thunderstorm warnings have expired for parts of northeast North Carolina Thursday evening.
A warning from the National Weather Service expired at 10 p.m. for Camden, Pasquotank and Currituck counties.
Another warning expired at 8 p.m. for Isle of Wight County, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Chesapeake and Norfolk. And an earlier warning for Surry County and Southampton County expired at 7:15 p.m.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch lasted for most of the afternoon and evening for all of the cities and counties in yellow in the graphic below. Super Doppler 10 meteorologists say the threat for the area was storms with damaging wind gusts and hail.
