VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Power has been restored for thousands of customers in Virginia Beach Wednesday morning.
Bonita Billingsley Harris with Dominion Virginia Power confirmed the outage was the result of an equipment failure. Crews worked to restore power by switching those affected to an alternate source, and power back back on for all customers by 11:30 a.m.
Just under 6,500 customers in the General Booth/Dam Neck area, including part of Oceana, were impacted by the outage.
