Suffolk man faces multiple charges in Hampton robbery

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Hampton Police have made an arrest in connection with a robbery in May.

On May 23, police responded to the TitleMax located in the 3000 block of West Mercury Boulevard to investigate a robbery. Officers learned the suspect had gone into the business, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The suspect then fled.

There were customers inside the TitleMax when the robbery occurred, but no one was hurt.

28-year-old Christopher Allen Williams, of Suffolk, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was charged with one count of robbery, one count of abduction, one count of burglary while armed, and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Hampton Police said he was in the custody of the Chesapeake Police Department for additional charges in connection to related incidents.
