NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A teenager faces 10 years in prison in connection with a shooting in Norfolk this spring.
18-year-old Raetron Whittaker-Lee pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was sentenced to 20 years, with 10 years suspended.
Whittaker-Lee was charged in connection with an incident on May 14, when a teenager was shot in the foot during a drive-by shooting on Lafayette Boulevard. Police said Whittaker-Lee was in the vehicle, which was driven by Ricky Haley.
At the time, police said the incident may have been motivated by a fight between Whittaker-Lee and an acquaintance of the victim.
