YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The courts say there’s enough evidence to move forward in the case of a woman accused of driving a mobile meth lab on Interstate 64.
State Police arrested Christie Smith in April. They initially charged her with manufacturing meth, giving a false identity, and driving on a suspended license. However, the drug charge is the only one that will go before a grand jury.
A trooper said he spotted her driving erratically on I-64-east in York County, near Lightfoot. When that trooper found evidence of meth, a HazMat team actually shut down part of the interstate as a precaution.
