Cousins charged in Jason Ave. homicide

Police make a second arrest

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police announced Monday they made a second arrest in a homicide on Jason Avenue, and the latest suspect is related to another person charged in the case.

Officers responded to Jason Avenue around 4:40 a.m. July 16, and found Dajuan Glover suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

Monday, Norfolk Police said 29-year-old Roy L. Turner was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, and weapons charges. He was being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.

26-year-old Kareem Turner was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Glover’s death. Kareem Turner was also previously charged in the murder of Norfolk Police Officer Victor Decker, but prosecutors later withdrew those charges.

Police said Roy and Kareem Turner are first cousins.

Roy Turner was in court Monday morning. His next appearance is scheduled for Sept. 3.
