STIHL summer camp ends with competition for students

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – STIHL Inc.’s week long manufacturing technology summer camp came to a close Saturday with a competition for students.

40 students from across Hampton Roads spent the week learning how to make wireless speakers from STIHL parts.

Saturday students broke into teams to see who could come up with the best process to manufacture those speakers at the company’s U.S. headquarters on Lynnhaven Drive.

The winning team received a $1000 scholarship towards their education.
