NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – One person was stabbed in the 1300 block of Monticello Avenue on Saturday, and police say the victim refused to cooperate during the investigation.

According to Norfolk Police Public Information Officer Corporal Wray, the call was received by police dispatch at 4:10 p.m. for an ongoing fight.  When police arrived they found one person suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect was taken into custody, but Wray told WAVY News 10 the victim refused to cooperate with detectives during the investigation. Because of that, police were not able to secure charges against the suspect, and the investigation was closed.
