Man found shot in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Police in Virginia Beach are investigating a shooting after a man was found with gunshot wounds overnight.

Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department said officers were called to the 700 block of S. Rosemont Road, near Holland Road, around 12:15 a.m. to investigate a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Officers spoke to several people in the area, but Borman said very little details were provided about how or why the shooting happened.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
