Shoplifting suspect sought in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Police are asking for help identifying a woman who they say was involved in a shoplifting incident earlier this month.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the suspect was seen on surveillance cameras altering price tags on merchandise. It happened at the Belk located in the 1400 block of N. Main Street around 4:30 p.m. on July 5.

The suspect was described as a woman in her 20s, wearing a striped tank top. She was seen by a loss prevention officer leaving the store in a white van with Virginia license plates.
