Southampton deputies seek identity of burglary suspect

SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying the suspect of two recent burglary.

Major G.H. Drewery said the first burglary happened in April on Williams Street in Franklin. The homeowner didn’t report the incident right away. The pictures above were taken during that burglary, but the same suspect was connected to another burglary investigation on July 7.

During the July burglary, an air conditioner and food and drinks were stolen. It happened in the Southampton Meadows Trailer Park, which Drewery said is one of the county’s highest crime areas.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 757-653-2100. If you’d like to remain anonymous, you can call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
