NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police arrested an individual on a firearm related offense outside The Palace on Plume early Monday morning.
Around 2:15 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of East Plume Street after hearing a report of a large crowd there, according to Officer Daniel Hudson with Norfolk police. The scene was near The Palace on Plume, a restaurant and lounge.
Officers assisted with traffic control and getting vehicles out of a parking garage. While there, police were notified that a vehicle leaving the garage had an occupant who was brandishing a firearm, so the officers conducted a traffic stop, and found and charged the person with the firearm.
Hudson said police have no information about any incidents that were rumored to have happened inside the lounge beforehand. They also have not released any information about the suspect who was charged.
