LOS ANGELAS, Ca. (WAVY) – Kent Bazemore, who played at Old Dominion University from 2008 to 2012, is reportedly signing with the Atlanta Hawks after spending the 2013-2014 season with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.
Bazemore’s deal with the Hawks is worth two years and $4 million. The former Monarch became quite the hot commodity on the free agent market when he averaged over 13 points and three rebounds a game in just 15 starts with the Lakers.
The deal could partner Bazemore up with Mike Scott, who played at Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake and at the University of Virginia. Both Bazemore and Scott came out of the same draft class, along with Kyle O’Quinn (Norfolk State University), who payed his summer league dues and is now a solid contributor for the Orlando Magic.
