YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — State police say they will not charge a driver who led local deputies on a short pursuit near the James York Shopping Plaza Wednesday.

A York County deputy noticed a vehicle that was being driven erratically and tried to conduct a traffic stop, which led to a short police pursuit, according to Sergeant Michelle Anaya with Virginia State Police. The pursuit ended in a crash with two other vehicles.

Anaya said no charges will be filed because the cause of the pursuit and crash was that the driver suffered a medical condition.

No further information has been released.
