VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – An arena for Virginia Beach could come with a hefty price tag for taxpayers.
The company behind the proposal, United States Management, says it will find funding for the $200 million cost of building the 18,000 seat arena.
Taxpayers would pay for the infrastructure around the facility. On Tuesday, City Council learned that it could cost $52.6 million to $78.8 million to pay for the utilities, road improvements, and traffic patterns in the area.
