VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The United States Adult Soccer Association will welcome 97 teams and roughly 2000 soccer players to Virginia Beach this weekend for their annual Veteran’s Cup. The tournament, now in it’s 17th year, will host players from all over the United States and the world.

“They come from as far away as Japan. This year, we’ve got teams from Canada, some players from Australia,” says John Matta, the president of the USASA, “The prestige of (this event) comes from the continuous support from these teams year after year after year.”

The tournament will start on Wednesday at the Hampton Roads Sportsplex and will run through Sunday.
