Counterfeit bill passed “pen test” in Nags Head


NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) – The Nags Head Police Department is looking for a woman who used a counterfeit $100 bill at a Jersey Mike’s last month.

The employee performed the “pen test” during the June 7 transaction and the bill reportedly passed, but was later determined to be counterfeit. The store captured images of the suspect on its surveillance camera. She is holding a young child in one of the pictures.
