NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Rip Tide has done it again. For the second time in as many years, the lovable mascot for the Norfolk Tides got maybe a little too close to the outfield wall at Harbor Park on Thursday night, and paid the price.
During a home game against the Charlotte Knights, His off roading vehicle skimmed the wall and eventually turned over, propelling poor Rip Tide from his seat.
Despite the tumble, Rip Tide stood up, hands raised towards sky, and still kept that huge smile.
Rip Tide became somewhat of an internet sensation in 2012 when he attempted to turn the vehicle in the outfield gravel. The vehicle flipped, and threw Rip Tide from the seat.
