Charity car show raises money for CHKD

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – There was a special car show Sunday in Portsmouth to raise money for Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

The Tidewater Streeters Club joined Bayside Harley Davidson to show off their classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. They put on the car show every year.

While everyone loves the chance to check out the vehicles, Sunday’s event was all about helping kids.

“The entries of the cars, it’s $20 entry the day of the show. We don’t do any pre-registration, and they come out, the $20 goes directly to CHKD,” said Linwood Heffington with the Tidewater Streeters Club.

Along with the car show each year, the group also collects toys for Toys for Tots in December.
