Teen accused of robbing 2 Suffolk businesses


SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in Suffolk Saturday after two businesses were robbed.

According to Tim Kelley with the City of Suffolk, the first robbery happened around 3:30 p.m. at a Subway restaurant located at 6550 Hampton Roads Parkway. Dispatchers were told the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers arrived on the scene about ten minutes later, and encountered the suspect leaving a nearby Food Lion. Kelley said the teen had allegedly committed another robbery, taking an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said the suspect was detained without incident. No injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
