Gloucester man killed, another injured in Middlesex Co. shooting

MIDDLESEX, Va. (WAVY) – A double shooting in Middlesex County early Saturday morning left a Gloucester man dead and another person wounded.

According to a press release from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the 300 block of Rocks Road in the Waterview area for reports of shots fired in the early hours of the morning.

Deputies arrived on the scene and found two people who had been shot. One victim, Raheem Trevon Williams, 20, of Gloucester died at the scene.

Medics transported a second victim, who was shot in the shoulder, to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital where he underwent surgery.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and information on a possible suspect have not been released.
