NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk water tower was spilling water onto the sidewalk Friday morning, impacting one local road.
Fire Marshal Roger Burris with the City of Norfolk said the water appeared to be coming from an overflow pipe that releases water when the tank reaches a certain level.
Maple Avenue in Norfolk is the only road impacted at this time. Dispatchers told WAVY News the leak was flooding the roadway.
Burris said there were no crews working at the water tower location.
No other information was immediately available.
