NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two men are facing charges in two cities after a police pursuit in Norfolk Wednesday.

Around 11:30 a.m., an officer tried to pull over a black SUV in the 400 block of St. Pauls Boulevard that was reported stolen in Virginia Beach, according to Corporal Melinda Wray with Norfolk police. The drive refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit began.

The pursuit ended near Tidewater Drive at Interstate 264, where the driver and a passenger fled on foot. Both were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

The Virginia Beach Auto Theft Unit was notified and is conducting an investigation with the help of Norfolk police detectives, Wray said. Charges are pending against two men in both Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

No one was injured.
