NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Elizabeth River and much of the waters from Norfolk to Virginia Beach featured some of the finest machines on water Saturday evening.

The Mid-Atlantic Powerboating Association held it’s sixth annual Powerboating For a Cure, which raised $35,000 for the Hampton Roads chapter of Susan G. Komen. An additional $5,000 went to an educational fund.

Susan G. Komen is the second-largest fundraiser for breast cancer research and awareness in the United States, next to the federal government.
