Fire sparks at Chesapeake recycling facility


CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Chesapeake firefighters responded to a fire at a recycling facility Wednesday morning.

It happened at TFC Recycling on Diamond Hill Road near the intersection of Campostella Road and Battlefield Boulevard just after 8 a.m.

Firefighters found a pile of recycling materials on fire. Capt. Scott Saunders with the Chesapeake Fire Department said employees moved most of the debris outside by the time firefighters arrived.

No one was hurt and the building was not damaged.

The cause remains under investigation.
