NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police say one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle and vehicle crashed in Norfolk Friday night.
The crash happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of Lafayette Boulevard. Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said a man in a sedan was driving east on Lafayette Boulevard and tried to turn left onto Marne Avenue, hitting the motorcycle.
The man who was riding the motorcycle was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was upgraded and he is expected to make a recovery.
Parker-Chesson said the driver of the car was cites for failure to yield and driving on a revoked license.
