HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Two women are facing charges in connection to unrelated arson cases in Hampton.

Investigators say Tamyra Bumpers, 34, of Newport News, set her 2004 Ford Expedition on fire the morning of April 11. Fire crews were called out to the 1400 block of West Pembroke Avenue around 2:45 a.m. and discovered the passenger area of the SUV on fire. Bumpers was arrested on felony arson charges.

Crystal Partridge, a 25-year-old Hampton resident, is also facing felony arson charges. Around 2 a.m. on Monday, June 23, Hampton firefighters responded to a possible residential fire on Anita Court. There were no injuries reported. Two days later, investigators arrested Partridge. She’s accused of setting fires to a house and a car.
