Suspect sought in Suffolk hit-and-run

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Police need help identifying a man officers say was involved in a hit-and-run last weekend.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the incident happened in a parking lot on North Main Street June 14 around 2:30 p.m. The suspect’s vehicle hit another vehicle after he exited the Rent-N-Roll and fled the scene. The crash caused extensive damage.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a burgundy/maroon GMC Yukon SUV with North Carolina tags beginning with OC or OK and the last three digits of 060. He was captured on surveillance inside the store and is described as a black male in his late 20s to mid-30s, standing about 6’3 with a thin beard and close-cropped hair.

He was wearing a white shirt, tan boots and camouflage pants at the time of the incident.
