Smart skills basketball camp

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Our live audience on The Hampton Roads Show Friday was from the Smart Skills Academy Basketball Camp coming to Norfolk next week. The camp is hosted by Orlando Magic forward Kyle O’Quinn.

Camp Director Antoine Perry shared some details about the basketball camp, which is in its third year. It’s being held at Lake Taylor High School from June 23 to June 28.

Smart” stands for “strengthening minds and redefining talent.” The camp aims to reach out to student athletes, girls and boys from ages 5 to 15, and teach them about the sport.

Perry said they are still accepting sign-ups, and there is no required skill level to join.
