VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Friday brought perfect weather for a lemonade stand, but this one was inside — at Toys “R” Us.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation helps to spread awareness and raise money for the fight against pediatric cancer. Every year, 263,000 children worldwide are diagnosed with cancer. So at the lemonade stand, attendees enjoyed a complimentary glass of lemonade and could make donations to help kids in need.

Friday’s fundraiser in Virginia Beach wrapped up at 4 p.m., but it’s not too late to donate. In fact, organizers are asking participants to share pictures of their signs on social media through the hashtag #Stir4ACure, mentioning who or what they stir for.

You can download a #Stir4ACure sign by clicking here.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation hosted 230 stands in Virginia last year and collected about $35,000.
