Armed robber gets away with cash from Bojangles

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man robbed a fast food restaurant in Virginia Beach at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 1:45 p.m. at the Bojangles located at 3541 Holland Rd. MPO James Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the suspect entered the restaurant and immediately displayed a handgun as he threatened an employee. He then threatened a second employee and demanded money.

The suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He has been described as a black male between 25 and 35 years old, standing 6’ to 6’4 and weighing 200 to 225 pounds. He was wearing a blue/gray shirt, jeans, a blue bandana across his face at the time of the incident and his handgun was silver.
