VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach 7-Eleven has reopened after a minivan crashed through its front doors Tuesday morning.
The driver of the vehicle had a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital, according to fire department spokeswoman Amy Valdez.
Valdez said there were no other injuries. There is significant damage, though, to the business on Kellam Road. The 7-Eleven was closed all day Tuesday.
Wednesday, Margaret Chabris with 7-Eleven told WAVY.com the store was open and operating Wednesday with employees working their normal hours and shifts. Repairs will take about two weeks and no injuries were reported to customers or employees.
