PD: Teen shot inside Hampton home

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Police say a teen was shot Thursday afternoon inside a home in Hampton, and investigators are asking for help identifying the suspect or suspects responsible.

Sergeant Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division said the call came in around 4 p.m. for a shooting in the 400 block of Fox Hill Road.

Officers arrived and found a 15-year-old boy with a non-life threateing gunshot wound to the lower body. Price said the injury was so minor that the victim did not need to be taken to the hospital.

Price said it appears the victim and suspect knew each other. Police do not have anyone in custody at this time, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. No suspect information has been released.

The shooting remains under investigation.
