Two brothers in court for probable cause hearing

PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) -Two brothers from Perquimans County, accused of sexually abusing a girl for years, went to court Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.

The court had to dismiss charges for 19-year-old twins, Aaron and Benjamin Jackson, and then re-charge them correctly.

Wednesday, the state asked for a continuance. Thursday, the grand jury is expected to formally charge them.

The DA’s office said the victim lives in Colorado, and to fly her in, the case would need to be in superior court.

In all, six brothers are charged, as well as their parents.
