Graffiti defaces Phoebus High School

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police began investigating vandalism at a local high school Friday morning.

Officers responded to Phoebus High School at 5:30 a.m. for a report of vandalism, according to Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division.

When they arrived, police learned graffiti had been spray painted on several doors, trailers and on the main sign at the front entrance. Price said it had to have happened since 11 p.m. Thursday.

Police do not believe it is gang-related vandalism or that it is related to any previous incidents.

There is no suspect information or surveillance footage, at this time. Anyone with information that could help detectives is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
