Several charged in undercover drug investigation

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – Deputies in York County are searching for three men wanted in connection to a drug investigation.

An 18-month undercover drug operation ended in eight arrests, Capt. Troy Lyons with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office told WAVY.com. The following men are still wanted:

  • Torrie Michael Bliss, 33, of York County for distribution of cocaine
  • Desmond Demond Griffin, 33, of York County wanted for two counts distribution of imitation cocaine.
  • Antonio Sherwin Smith, 31, of York County wanted for conspiracy to distribute imitation cocaine and two counts distribution of imitation cocaine.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Additionally, the following men were arrested Monday in connection to the investigation:

  • Calvin Lovell Carter, 51, of York County – five counts distribution of cocaine
  • Don Diego Pierce, 52, of York County – conspiracy to distribute cocaine and five counts distribution of cocaine
  • Corey Dubrey, 29, of York County – conspiracy to distribute cocaine and four counts distribution of cocaine
  • Michael Odell Randall, 40, of Charles City County – three counts conspiracy to distribute cocaine and two counts distribution of cocaine
  • Eric Darnell Smith, 40, of York County – conspiracy to distribute cocaine and three counts distribution of cocaine
  • Brian Lewis, 22, of Newport News – distribution of cocaine
  • Justin Wright, 33, of York County – distribution of marijuana and distribution of cocaine
  • Edward J. Whitby, 32, of York County – distribution of cocaine

The undercover operation was investigated by the York and Tri-Rivers drug task force, York, Poquoson, James City County, Gloucester, Matthews Middlesex, Charles City Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police.
