Rabid raccoon found in Norfolk’s Riverview

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A rabid raccoon found in Norfolk’s Riverview community has tested positive for rabies.

The raccoon was killed by a pet dog in the 200 block of East 41st Street and sent off to Richmond for testing.

Norfolk’s Department of Health says no humans were exposed to the raccoon.
