VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms was the first to try out the new Adventure Park at the Virginia Aquarium Friday.
The park opened Friday morning. It’s on the Aquarium’s Owls Creek Nature Path just north of the Marsh Pavilion and has 13 different trails with 170 crossings at six levels of difficulty. The trails also include more than 20 zip lines.
During the grand opening, Mayor Will Sessoms and Virginia Aquarium Executive Director Lynn Clements were the first to climb, followed by the rest of the guests.
