NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Department of Transportation crews will close all eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel for several hours Sunday morning.
In a news release, a VDOT spokesperson said maintenance crews will conduct routine tests on the tide gates during the closure, which is scheduled for 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. The testing was previously planned for May 11, but was postponed.
Motorists should use the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel instead. I-64 will remain open to westbound traffic.
