Shooting reported in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a shooting in Norfolk late Wednesday night.

Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department told WAVY.com officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 29th Street around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Parker-Chesson said there is no suspect information at this time and the victim was not forthcoming with information.
