NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Police say a 40-year-old man exposed himself to an officer who confronted him in front of a restaurant Saturday morning.

Ryan Kashin with the Newport News Police Department told WAVY.com two male subjects were involved in a fight a few weeks ago. Around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, the men tried to go into Salsa’s Restaurant located in City Center and an officer denied them.

The men reportedly went across the street and began filming the restaurant. Kashin said a few minutes later, Cesar Gonzales of Newport News began walking back toward the restaurant and was met by the officer.

“He then turned around and dropped his pants in front of the officer, exposing himself,” Kashin said.

Gonzales was arrested and charged with drunk in public and indecent exposure.
