Norfolk man faces child sex crime charges

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Police have charged a 60-year-old man with several crimes against minors.

David Linn Sellers of Norfolk was arrested last week and charged with object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery and liberties with a child by custodian, Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department said.Ava Hurdle on volunteer coach arrested

Hudson said Sellers was still in jail with no bond.

Friday, the principal of Christ the King Catholic School sent this letter to parents notifying them of the arrest. The letter states “As far as we know, the alleged misconduct took place in a home setting. This individual is no longer actively involved with our school.” The letter does not name Sellers.

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond confirmed Sellers was a volunteer coach, but did not say what sport he coached.

The incident remains under investigation.

Sellers will appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 11.
