Student’s diary leads to suspension

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Suffolk student has been suspended after police say she wrote threatening statements about other students in her diary.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk told the student went to Mack Benn Jr. Elementary School. Officers were told Wednesday about the remarks.

According to Bethanne Bradshaw with Suffolk Public Schools, the student has been suspended pending an administrative hearing.

Neither Klink nor Bradshaw provided further information about the threat, however, a police report listed the incident as ‘Threaten To Kill.’
