WCYB in Bristol, Va. told WAVY.com authorities in Washington County, TN received information Mitchem was traveling to an address in the county. After conducting surveillance, deputies determined Mitchem was a passenger in a vehicle pulling into a driveway.

Mitchem was taken into custody, as well as the driver of the vehicle, Heather Nicole Stane, 21. Stane was charged with driving on a suspended license.

WCYB said Mitchem was also charged with being a fugitive from justice, criminal impersonation and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

WAVY.com called the Washington County Detention Center in Tennessee where Mitchem and Stane were being held before their initial court appearance. We were told Stane has already been released from jail on a court order.

Mitchem has a $25,000 bond and is due back in a Tennessee court on May 29 for criminal impersonation and unlawful carry of a firearm. If he’s sentenced on those charges, he’ll serve time there. If he’s not convicted, once Mitchem has handled his charges in Tennessee, Norfolk police have a hold for him to face his charges in Hampton Roads.
