ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – A 13-year-old student was charged after deputies say she put something in a teacher’s bottle last week.
Sheriff Todd Godwin said deputies received a report around 10 p.m. May 13 about a Nandua Middle School Teacher becoming sick after drinking water she left unattended in her classroom. She was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital and was treated and released.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a 13-year-old girl and Nandua Middle School Student. Deputies say she was charged Tuesday with adulteration of food, drink, drugs, cosmetics, etc. and transported to the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
