Students report soreness after bus crash

HERTFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – A crash involving a school bus sent several students to the hospital Tuesday morning.

Brunet Parker with Hertford County Public Schools told WAVY.com it happened around 7:30 a.m. on Ahoskie Cofield Road. The bus was on the way to Hertford County Middle School and the 9th grade Success Academy.

Information on the actual crash was not immediately available, but Parker said it involved another vehicle.

The 16 students went straight to the hospital to be checked out. Some required x-rays. Everyone was dismissed from the hospital.

Parker said some of the students and the bus driver experienced soreness.

The driver of the other vehicle was charged, but it is unknown at this time with what.
