Tides walk off in the 13th inning against Charlotte Knights

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – So it wasn’t quite the 23-inning long marathon between the College of William and Mary and the College of Charleston on Friday night, but the Norfolk Tides should sleep well after a win that took 4 hours and 15 minutes.

With an announced crowd of 8,197 watching on Military Appreciation night, first baseman Brett Wallace delivered the winning hit in the bottom of the 13th inning, and the Tides walked off with a 7-6 win over visiting Charlotte. The same two teams will face off on Sunday at 1:05 pm.
